The American Hospital Association (AHA) is the national membership organization that represents and serves hospitals, health care networks, and their patients. It provides education and resources for health care leaders on issues and trends, and has been a key voice for the profession for over 100 years. Located at the contemporary new CityCenter—one of DC’s premier office buildings—the design is a modern reflection of the organization’s established history.
A program of private offices with a large conference center best supports the organization’s needs. Floor to ceiling glass creates a highly-visible entrance to welcome constituent members, large groups, and frequent VIPs. The conference center and team breakout area are immediately adjacent to reception, keeping public-facing functions up front. This helps respect the tranquility and privacy of personnel offices, which are located deeper into the office.
A clean aesthetic reflects neutrality and echoes CityCenter’s sleek design. Natural materials, selected for familiarity, are applied in a minimalist fashion. Dark wood, glass and marble are welcoming. In this space, occupants animate their placid environs.
