Springfield CBC Commuter Garage Breaks Ground

The Springfield Community Business Center Commuter Parking Garage has broken ground! But it's so much more, says Chairman Jeffrey McKay, Supervisor Rodney Lusk, and the large team assembled. It's a Gateway, a Transit Station, a Community Event Center - and the DMV's finest "Slug Line."

The six-level garage will have approximately 1,000 parking spaces with a bus transit center and seven bus bays, slugging spaces, pick-up and drop-off parking spaces, a pedestrian bridge over Old Keene Mill Road connecting to Springfield Plaza, bicycle storage, and community gathering areas on the ground level and roof.

Partners include Walker Consultants, Fairfax County Government, Manhattan Construction Group, GORDON, VDOT Adopt A Highway, and GHT Limited.
